Salvatore Vitale

Mikkel Hørlyck (b. 1990) is an independent photojournalist and visual artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Once a student at Fatamorgana The Danish School of Art Photography, he holds a BA in Photojournalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Hørlyck’s career began as a photojournalist intern at Politiken, a Danish daily broadsheet. His work has since been recognised by a series of prizes – including Danish Picture Of The Year, Vilnius Photo Circle and World Report Award. In 2019, Hørlyck was named Discovery Of The Year at The Lucie Awards in New York.‍

Sybren Vanoverberghe (b. 1996, BE) is an artist who lives and works in Belgium. Vanoverberghe has had recent solo exhibitions at Deweer Gallery, Otegem (BE), UZ Brussels (BE), CC De Factorij, Zaventem (BE) and Keteleer Gallery, Antwerp (BE). He had two-person exhibitions at De Brakke Grond, Amsterdam (NL), Contretype, Brussels (BE), Barbé Gallery, Ghent (BE), Ontsteking, Ghent (BE). His works have been shown at various fairs such as Unseen, Amsterdam (NL); Miart (IT), Art Brussels (BE) and Art Cologne (DE). Vanoverberghe’s works are published in artist books such as 2099 (2018), Conference of the Birds (2019), 1099 (2020), Sandcastles and Rubbish (2021), Desert Spirals (2023), MUSA (2024) by Art Paper Editions (BE). His works are included in the public collection of the Flemish Government – FoMu, Antwerp, BE. Vanoverberghe received his MFA from The School of Arts – KASK in Ghent, (BE). Vanoverberghe engages with photography, employing diverse printing techniques, installations, structures, and discovered objects in his artistic practice. His creations capture landscapes and their remnants in a perpetual state of transformation, revealing the intricate interplay between place and time. Through his works, Vanoverberghe explores the convergence of history, nature, and heritage, presenting viewers with a visual dialogue that spans both the historical ruins and commonplace locales. His art challenges established notions by juxtaposing present-day structures with what might be interpreted as artefacts from an envisioned future. Vanoverberghe’s pieces possess a pronounced anachronistic quality, with certain images portraying a bygone era that never truly existed. Within his monographs, he often delves into the cyclical nature of specific sites, transcending their original geographic context. His work prompts speculative inquiries that traverse time, oscillating between past and future with equal resonance. A perpetual tension permeates Vanoverberghe’s oeuvre, inviting contemplation on the dual nature of images — whether to accept them as historical documents or dismiss those that seem to foretell a future yet to unfold. Anna Safiatou Touré (Bamako, Mali, born in 1996) is a Franco-Malian multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. She graduated from the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Fine Arts and the ENSAV La Cambre in photography. Anna Safiatou was awarded the Médiatine Prize in 2022 and the Roger De Conynck Fund in 2023-24. Her work explores the space that unites or separates the two sides of every migratory narrative. The journey through this personal, historical, and cultural blending fills for her empty or unanswered spaces. On her own scale, she wishes to materialize this absence by creating her own evidence to make history heard—rendering the absence visible to tell stories from these new bodies. Like a certain poetry of emptiness, couldn’t the world be told in reverse, like a stencil, from the edge?

Pascual Ross (b.1977) is a Spanish photographer, who lives and works in Andalusia. His photographic practice is based on the people and the stories that each of us carry inside, this being his central axis of work. It reflects on the individual, his natural environment and the customs that condition him in one way or another. The minimal stories are the most important in the story line of your work.

Martina Zanin (b. 1994, San Daniele del Friuli) is a visual artist based in Milan. Her practice moves seamlessly between photography, writing, collage, leatherwork, installation, sculpture, and artist books. Zanin is the author of the photobook I Made Them Run Away, published by Skinnerboox, and Older Than Love, a self-published artist book. In 2024 she is a finalist for the Talent Prize Inside Art. She is the winner of Premio Driving Energy 2023 and is among the recipients of Giovane Fotografia Italiana 2021 and Cantica21. Italian Contemporary Art Everywhere, promoted by MAECI and MiC. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows at national and international level, including GNAM - National Museum of Modern Art, Rome (2024), IIC Toronto (2024), Cassina Projects, Milan (2024), Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome (2023), Foto Forum, Bozen (2023), Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, Rome (2023), Benaki Museum, Athens (2022), IIC Abu Dhabi (2021), FMAV - Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (2021), galleria studiofaganel, Gorizia (2021), Fotografia Europea (2021), Goethe Institute, Rome (2017). Her works are part of public collections such as MoMA Library New York, Haas Library Yale University, MEP - Maison Européenne de la Photographie Paris, FMAV - Fondazione Modena Arti Visive, and Fondazione Orestiadi.

Anca Punct, an artist from Bucovina and now residing in Cluj-Napoca, blends tradition with digital innovation in her art. Her photography, which began a decade ago, has long focused on the Romania-Ukraine border area, infusing historical and ethnographic insights. Guided by seasoned mentors and self-taught experiences, Anca integrates AI technology into her work, creating innovative and deeply creative visual expressions. Her portfolio ranges from digital collage to generative imaging and photography, each piece inviting contemplation and offering fresh perspectives.

Michelle Piergoelam (b. 1997) is a photographer who studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, the Netherlands. She creates visual stories based on dreams, memories, cultural myths and traditions. Despite her Surinamese background, Piergoelam knew little about this country; a curiosity to learn more prompted her to seek out new narratives. With her images, the artist stimulates the imagination and narrative culture – to keep their transmission alive. Her practice applies varied photographic techniques while using elements of the night; details become the subject when light strikes over them, and the smallest gestures speak loud and clear. In 2020, Piergoelam’s The Untangled Tales project was nominated for both Blurring the Lines and the Kassel Dummy Award, and was awarded second prize at the Zilveren Camera Prize for Storytelling.

Parisa Aminolahi (Tehran, Iran), based in the Netherlands, is a freelance filmmaker and photographer. Her series are mostly long-term projects. And her work explores themes such as displacement, exile, homeland, family, and childhood memories, using old family photographs, self-portraits, and her own family members as subjects. Her mediums include photography, documentary filmmaking, animation, painting, and mixed media.She studied theatre stage design (BA) and animation (MA) at University of Art in Tehran and documentary filmmaking (MA) at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is a recipient of The Firecracker Photographic Grant, The Netherlands Film Fund, GUP New Dutch Photography Talent of the Year and One World Media Student Film Bursary. Her dummy book, Tehran Diary, was shortlisted for the MACK First Book Award, BUP Book Award, and PHmuseum Women Photographers Grant. She has held screenings and exhibitions locally and internationally and is represented by Ag Galerie.
