Salvatore Vitale

Odysseas Tsompanoglou (born 1998, Greece) is a photographer based in the Netherlands whose work explores loss, melancholy and collective healing. His practice investigates notions of truth, deterritorialization, hyperreality and postmodernity, often through speculative and situationist strategies that blur the line between document and fiction. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Photography & Society at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, he approaches photography as a collaborative process that questions authorship and invites the publics to co‑produce meaning and dialogue around the visual medium. Informed by his experience with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, he applies strict technical constraints to his practice, using photography as a therapeutic tool to metabolize the instability of time and perception. By recording the ‘glitches’ of a reality that feels increasingly separated from physical experience, his work ultimately seeks to construct a sense of home within the empty coordinates of the virtual age.

Triin Kerge is an artist based in Estonia and Italy. She works primarily with photography, embroidery, and archival materials. Her practice explores memory, home, and identity through her own photography, found photographs, and family archives, focusing on how images shift over time through material-based processes. By combining photographic processes with slow, material-based techniques, she examines how images change over time and how meaning shifts through repetition, material transformation, and physical engagement with images. Kerge is interested in the material instability of photographs and in how images function as carriers of personal and cultural memory. Her work is research-driven and often developed as long-term projects that bring together archival research, material experimentation, and image-making across different contexts and locations.

Benedetta Casagrande is an artist, writer and educator working with photography. Starting from a theoretical approach in the field of ecology and critical studies, she developed a biocentric practice that uses photography to investigate interspecies relationships and more-than-human life in times of extinctions. Benedetta is the winner of the Luigi Ghirri Prize (2024), of FE+SK Book Award (2024), and received the honorable mention from the jury of the Francesco Fabbri Prize for Contemporary Arts (2024). She is the commissioned artist for Photo Città della Pieve 2025. Her first photobook, All things laid dormant (Skinnerboox, 2024) was shortlisted for the Arles Authors Book Award and Singapore International Photography Festival Book Award, and received the special mention of the Marco Bastianelli Book Award (2025). Her work has been exhibited in national and international exhibitions, including Triennale Milano (Milan, 2025), Italian Institute of Culture Stockholm (2025), L'Imagerie Centre d'Arte (Lainnon, 2025), Prague Photo Festival (2025), Ph Museum Days (Bologna, 2024), Fotografia Europea, Palazzo dei Musei (Reggio Emilia, 2024), Photo Brussels Festival (2024), ADI Design Museum (Milano, 2023), INSTANCE (Shanghai, 2021) and Photo Ireland Festival (2019). Her writing has been published on digital and print publications such as American Suburb X, inCf Magazine, The Light Observer, Ardesia Projects and Over Journal, and she has written essays for photobooks and catalogues amongst which Lay Her Down Upon Her Back (Róisín White, 2023), How To Raise a Hand (Angelo Vignali, 2022), ITALIA 90 (2021) and Diachronicles (CameraWork, Giulia Parlato, 2020).

Umberto Diecinove (b. 1978) is an artist and author with with a background in literature, philosophy and poetry and a master degree in photography. His projects have been presented in various international galleries, festivals, and cultural institutions, including the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (Budapest, Hungary), the Muséum d’Orléans pour la Biodiversité et l’Environnement (France), and the Glass Box Gallery (Santa Barbara, California, USA), among others. In 2025, with the project I N S C Ṭ S, he was nominated for both the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass and the Leica Oskar Barnack Award.

Parisa Aminolahi (Tehran, Iran), based in the Netherlands, is a freelance filmmaker and photographer. Her series are mostly long-term projects. And her work explores themes such as displacement, exile, homeland, family, and childhood memories, using old family photographs, self-portraits, and her own family members as subjects. Her mediums include photography, documentary filmmaking, animation, painting, and mixed media.She studied theatre stage design (BA) and animation (MA) at University of Art in Tehran and documentary filmmaking (MA) at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is a recipient of The Firecracker Photographic Grant, The Netherlands Film Fund, GUP New Dutch Photography Talent of the Year and One World Media Student Film Bursary. Her dummy book, Tehran Diary, was shortlisted for the MACK First Book Award, BUP Book Award, and PHmuseum Women Photographers Grant. She has held screenings and exhibitions locally and internationally and is represented by Ag Galerie.

Valentin Valette is a Franco-Algerian visual artist, photographer, and researcher in visual anthropology, based between the Gulf, the Maghreb, Paris, and the Pyrenees. Bridging artistic creation and research in the social sciences and humanities, Valentin Valette focuses on environmental transformations and the social, political, and economic dynamics that influence local practices and experiences. His work also examines processes of movement, whether voluntary or forced, and their impact on community ties, individual and collective memory, and the construction of territories. Valentin Valette employs various to explore these complex situations and reveal the temporalities shaping these spaces. His approach combines research and creation, remaining attentive to human stories and the contexts in which they unfold. Born in 1994 in Pau (France), he holds a Research Master’s in International Relations – North Africa and the Mediterranean (CIFE) and a Master’s in Political Science – Political Dynamics and Societal Transformations (Sciences Po).

Jeroen De Wandel uses photography as a starting point to create new images from all sorts of material (photographic or otherwise), using his own photography in different shapes, contexts and meanings. His artistic work often starts from a personal need to react within a social context / our society. A common thread is the functioning of our brain: how we deal with zeitgeist, with information, with manipulation, with technology and how all this reflects back on our psychological well-being. Depending on the angle and location, he uses different techniques, from photography and collages to installations, sculptures and spatial interventions. I am a visual artist working primarily with photography, video, and installation. My main area of interest revolves around the idea of destruction perceived as a prerequisite for rebirth – in this regard, my practice serves as a particular form of self-therapy. My creative approach centers around catastrophic events, whether experienced in real life or staged – not merely to document, but to explore their aesthetics and the emotions they evoke. Drawing from the notion of post-photography, I attempt to extend the same approach to my audience, purposefully creating the most photogenic environment. This invites the viewer to try and explore the aesthetics and emotions evoked by my own work. The theme of the car and anything automotive-related is a constant recurrence throughout my practice, varying both in context and form. It can be an invisible companion, as seen in the series of on-the-road photos like "Post Tourism," documenting wildfire sites in Australia and California. It can also be a desirable object deliberately subjected to all kinds of abuse – set on fire, melted, or drowned – in order to test its endurance while creating the perfect catastrophic photo set, as seen in the multidisciplinary installation "Panda" or the photographs published in the photobook "Pyromaniac’s Manual." Finally, the car can be dissected, stripped, and transformed into something entirely new, like a vehicle for poetic miniatures in the "Blind Spot" series. It can even become part of a fancy dinner where the courses are prepared out of car parts and served to the guests of a luxurious retreat, mockingly bringing into the spotlight the consumption patterns of the highest social classes in the "A la carte" project, created during the Chateau de la Haute Borde art residency and subsequently exhibited at Galerie du 13 in Paris. Most recently, my interest has turned to audiovisuality, focusing on short forms of video and their potential for a more poetic style of storytelling.

Camille Poitevin (b. Montreal, Canada, 1996) is a french multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. Installation plays a central role in her practice : drawing from lens-based media, sculpture, sound, and performance, she creates time for introspection in a fast-paced society. In doing so, she aims to challenge social norms, unfreezing preconceived ideas in human interactions, social roles, and personal identity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts from Concordia University in Montreal (2018) and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts (Photography) from ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels (2022). During her master’s studies, she was awarded a creation grant from the King Baudouin Foundation as well as the Servix Prize. Her work has been presented in Belgium (FOMU, Musée Botanique, Beursschouwburg, BPS22, Hangar Art Center, Ateliers Mommen, HISK Gosset site, CAL Charleroi), the Netherlands (De Brakke Grond, Marres Huis voor Hedendaagse Cultuur), France (FRAC Franche-Comté), and Italy (Fondazione Sant’Elia). In 2025, she takes part in the group exhibition Art au Centre in Liège, as well as in the .TIFF Emerging Belgian Photography program presented at FOMU and later at De Brakke Grond, within which she was selected for the European FUTURES Photography platform. That same year, she participates in Art Contest at the Musée Botanique, where she receives the Collectors’ Prize. She lives and works in Brussels and develops her practice within the collective studio Koekelhouse (Young European Artists).

I am a Danish-American documentary photographer and visual artist dedicated to creating space for Black interiority and complexity. With a BA in photojournalism, I approach photography through storytelling with the awareness of genuine representation. Navigating from this perspective, I aim to capture the spaces where we are closest to our authentic self. As I turn my camera towards the reality of everyday-Black-existence in its simplicity and extraordinary, I want to uplift the voices and stories of afrodiasporic individuals. As I turn the camera on myself, I explore both personal and collective history. Raised between Copenhagen and Hamburg with African American heritage, I work across local and global contexts, using my practice as a language through which I connect with and express Black existence.
