'Kontakt' visually explores summer camps organized by the NGO Home Defense School for children from 10 to 18 years old. In these programmes, like a military training, they are taught discipline, patriotism, how to survive in the wilderness and to handle airsoft weapons. Bartha spent over a year with the camp. In the series, the photographer questions our attitudes towards violence and war.

With 'Kontakt', Bartha was also awarded with the Capa Grand Prize Fellowship (2017) and the Robert Capa Grand Prize Hungary (2018).

Máté Bartha was selected by PhotoRomania for the Futures Talents 2019.
