Eric Asamoah

Romane Iskaria is a French photographer and artist based in Brussels, Belgium (1997). The photographer highlights the injustices and inequalities of invisible communities with a documentary and fictional approach. Her images, specific to “Care”, tell a story and allow her subjects to become aware of their painful stories. She creates a connection with these subjects that goes beyond the simple link between the photographer and her model. The artist uses photography and the field of video, but also textiles, sound, and sculpture to create immersive installations. She tells stories that take the form of a long-term investigation across several territories. Romane replays specific rituals and stories that also transcend borders, addressing questions around migration and exile. The photographer creates plastic forms allowing her to subvert the codes of documentary. She graduated with a Master's degree in photography from ENSAV La Cambre in 2022 and a DNA (National Diploma in Plastic Arts) from INSEAAM Beaux Arts in Marseille in 2018. She also completed an exchange at the U-LAVAL Visual Arts school in Quebec, Canada. Romane is laureate of TIFF 2024 Emerging Belgian Photography, by FOMU Fotomuseum Antwerpen and the european platform FUTURES Photography. Romane was selected as part of the call for projects launched by Polka Magazine and Kickstarter for the creation and support of an artist's book, with the self-publishing of her first work, "Assyrians," in a print run of 300 copies in 2022. The book "Assyrians" was also a winner of the Belgian Photo Books selection, presented at the Rencontres d'Arles in July 2022.

Camille Poitevin (b. Montreal, Canada, 1996) is a french multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. Installation plays a central role in her practice : drawing from lens-based media, sculpture, sound, and performance, she creates time for introspection in a fast-paced society. In doing so, she aims to challenge social norms, unfreezing preconceived ideas in human interactions, social roles, and personal identity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts from Concordia University in Montreal (2018) and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts (Photography) from ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels (2022). During her master’s studies, she was awarded a creation grant from the King Baudouin Foundation as well as the Servix Prize. Her work has been presented in Belgium (FOMU, Musée Botanique, Beursschouwburg, BPS22, Hangar Art Center, Ateliers Mommen, HISK Gosset site, CAL Charleroi), the Netherlands (De Brakke Grond, Marres Huis voor Hedendaagse Cultuur), France (FRAC Franche-Comté), and Italy (Fondazione Sant’Elia). In 2025, she takes part in the group exhibition Art au Centre in Liège, as well as in the .TIFF Emerging Belgian Photography program presented at FOMU and later at De Brakke Grond, within which she was selected for the European FUTURES Photography platform. That same year, she participates in Art Contest at the Musée Botanique, where she receives the Collectors’ Prize. She lives and works in Brussels and develops her practice within the collective studio Koekelhouse (Young European Artists).

Naa Teki Martey Lebar is a visual artist and author. She studied Fine Arts and Photography in Great Britain, Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and Austrian Studies at the University of Vienna. Her work explores themes of belonging and identity shaped by living across multiple cultures, often reflecting on the gaze in and beyond the photographic medium through personal narratives. Working with photography, text, and installation, Lebar creates spaces for reflection, narration, and care where experience becomes both material and method.

Kristīne Krauze-Slucka is a visual artist based in Riga, Latvia, whose conceptual practice interrogates the materiality of industrially produced objects, transforming them into catalysts for pseudo-social anthropological inquiries that unravel conventional perceptions. Her approach to photographic image-making transcends the traditional lens, venturing into the realm of meta images and afterimages. By employing experimental, camera-less techniques, she treats the photographic medium not only as a tool for visual representation but as a tactile, sensory and embodied experience that underscores the physical and material processes of creation. Balancing familiarity with abstraction, her work invites viewers to reconsider the often distorted relationships between man-made materials and the environment, ultimately engaging a sensory dialogue about our perception. Krauze-Slucka holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Visual Communication Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts. She was awarded the Grand Prix of the Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award in 2020 and has been twice nominated for the prestigious Purvītis Prize. In 2022, she was selected as a FUTURES artist, an honor awarded by the Europe-based photography platform. She also serves as a lecturer at the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP).

Zoe is a photographer from Co. Antrim, now living in Edinburgh. Zoe is interested in the relationship between humans and the environment, as well as the systems of classification that we use to make sense of the world around us. She works on long term photographic projects, drawing on scientific and historic research as well as lived experience to tell a story about a place or subject. Her background research has been informed by photography’s history as a tool of imperialism and this is something that she works to recognise and subvert within her photographic practice. She currently teaches on the Stills School, an alternative education programme for young people and is a visiting lecturer at Queen Margaret University. She has received funding from Edinburgh City Council and the Richard & Siobhan Coward Foundation and was recently included in Fantasy Island, a publication documenting the last 50 years of photography in Ireland. Zoe participated in PhotoIreland's New Irish Works III between 2019 and 2021.

Graduated in Political Science and Urban Sociology, his work unfolds in territories left, maintained or deliberately built on the fringes of our cities. He takes them on over a long period of time and draws up a personal cartography, walking a fine line between documentary and fine art photography. He attaches particular importance to form, colour and material, which serve as points of encounter with his mental universe. In this way, he constructs a visual language that is both frontal and polysemous, offering a singular vision in which human frailties are transfigured by new lines of force. His work is regularly exhibited at festivals in France and abroad, like Athens Photo Festival, Tbilisi Photo Festival, Les Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles or Circulation(s). He was awarded the Maison Blanche Prize in 2021.

My name is Claude. As an interdisciplinary artist, I mainly use the media of photography and sound. I am based in Lichtensteig in Toggenburg, Switzerland. I grew up in the 90‘s in a small village on the Swiss side of Lake Constance and was socialised in the environment of the Catholic Church. Today, after studying analogue photography at Ostkreuzschule in Berlin and living in various house and farm projects, I no longer feel that I belong there.

However, the themes in my artistic practice today are still characterised by a tightly structured childhood, youth and apprenticeship: in my work, I have been exploring the concepts of collectivity and intimacy for several years. I am always looking for liberating and solidary acts in performative moments and arts production. My image- and sound-based practice reveals my great affinity for technology, the exploration of boundaries and needs in dialogue and the creation of trusting connections and learning spaces in my collaborations.

As a child of the working class, I am concerned with my own role as an artist in society and what (political) room for manoeuvre this opens up for me. The problem of self-exploitation, especially - but not only - with a body read as female, is a recurring theme in my artistic practice.

Since 2019, the Salon Vert has been a network of artists, a laboratory for sound research and a place for interdisciplinary dialogue. The Salon Vert has found a new home in my studio in Lichtensteig in 2023. I am also co-founder of the audiovisual Glitch Festival in St.Gallen and music editor at the community radio station Stadtfilter in Winterthur.

Anna Safiatou Touré (Bamako, Mali, born in 1996) is a Franco-Malian multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. She graduated from the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Fine Arts and the ENSAV La Cambre in photography. Anna Safiatou was awarded the Médiatine Prize in 2022 and the Roger De Conynck Fund in 2023-24. Her work explores the space that unites or separates the two sides of every migratory narrative. The journey through this personal, historical, and cultural blending fills for her empty or unanswered spaces. On her own scale, she wishes to materialize this absence by creating her own evidence to make history heard—rendering the absence visible to tell stories from these new bodies. Like a certain poetry of emptiness, couldn’t the world be told in reverse, like a stencil, from the edge?

Nazlı Yıldırım was born in Ankara and is living in Ireland. She studied at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters. After teaching for a while, she worked as an editor in the publishing industry. Nazlı’s articles have been published in various magazines, newspapers and online platforms in Greece, Belgium and Turkey. Nazlı released her first photo fanzine called Hayret. Her creative journey involves documenting the impact of factors like class, culture, gender, sexual identity, and family dynamics on societies. Through the lens of her own life, she delves into subjects such as gender, cultural identity, discrimination, and the experiences of LGBTI+ communities.

Cosmin Gârleșteanu was born in August 1984, in Bucharest. He studied at the Academy for Economic Studies – The Accounting Faculty, but his passion for music drove him to a different kind of job, in radio. Nowadays he works as a video editor in television. Photography has always been among his passions, due to the feeling of freedom it gives him, before anything else.
