Mateusz Pecyna is a Polish visual artist working with installation, moving image, objects and sound. His practice explores how technological systems and environmental stress reshape contemporary culture, especially through regimes of visibility, interfaces and synthetic forms of nature. Rather than treating technology as a neutral tool, he approaches it as a cultural agent: something that produces aesthetics, behaviours and power relations. Combining research with speculative narration, he builds layered situations that test the boundaries between documentary evidence and constructed scenarios.
Pecyna holds an MA in Photography and Multimedia from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. He has presented work widely in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally, across museums and festival contexts. He currently participates in the international Heritage Lens programme, focusing on how climate change and environmental catastrophe reorganise cultural heritage, public imaginaries and the conditions of living. He was awarded the Artistic Scholarship of the City of Łódź (2025).

Katerina Tsakiri was born in Athens in 1991 and she is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied Photography and Audiovisual Arts in Athens and has an MFA in Photography from the University of Gothenburg. Since 2015 she has been working part-time as a visual artist and part-time as a commercial photographer. From 2019 she has been devoting her time to her artistic practice. She works with self-portraiture and her subjects are mainly autobiographical. The theme of her work is the female identity in Western culture with a focus on the female body. Her practice expands from staged photography to video performances and sculptures. In her latest project, she uses documentary photography to share the journey of her breast cancer treatment. She unravels through the photographic medium her body’s fragility and the impact of the illness on her female identity.
Born in 2001, Chernihiv, Ukraine. Started doing photography in 2019.
Graduated the cinematography faculty of the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University.
In 2019 completed the MYPH school from Serhiy Melnitchenko and the concept photography course from Roman Pyatkovka in 2020.

Artur Pławski is a photographer with a late debut. A graduate of Philosophy at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, he participated in the Sputnik Photos Mentoring Program for photographers. He works in the field of documentary photography, drawing on the critical potential of imagination and subjective forms of meaning-making.
In his work, he focuses on moments when facts lose their apparent obviousness, the image reveals its subjective nature, and emerging meanings point to a broader contextual framework. He explores the relationship between the individual and urban space, as well as the influence of ideology and language on perception. He is particularly interested in images that resist closure.
Artur is the winner of the Photography Publication of the Year Award (Poland, 2023) and received an honourable mention at the PhMuseum Photobook Award 2025.
Kristīne Krauze-Slucka is a visual artist based in Riga, Latvia, whose conceptual practice interrogates the materiality of industrially produced objects, transforming them into catalysts for pseudo-social anthropological inquiries that unravel conventional perceptions.
Her approach to photographic image-making transcends the traditional lens, venturing into the realm of meta images and afterimages. By employing experimental, camera-less techniques, she treats the photographic medium not only as a tool for visual representation but as a tactile, sensory and embodied experience that underscores the physical and material processes of creation.
Balancing familiarity with abstraction, her work invites viewers to reconsider the often distorted relationships between man-made materials and the environment, ultimately engaging a sensory dialogue about our perception.
Krauze-Slucka holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Visual Communication Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts. She was awarded the Grand Prix of the Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award in 2020 and has been twice nominated for the prestigious Purvītis Prize.
In 2022, she was selected as a FUTURES artist, an honor awarded by the Europe-based photography platform. She also serves as a lecturer at the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP).
Nik Erik Neubauer (1994) is a visual artist and photographer from Ljubljana, Slovenia. His work explores intimate social issues of everyday life through a contemporary documentary approach. He earned a master’s degree in photography from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana in 2021. In the same year, Neubauer was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award and he received the Watchdog Award from the Slovenian Association of Journalists for his long-term project documenting anti-government protests in Slovenia. In 2022, he was one of the winners of the Belfast Photo Festival in the photobook category. The following year, in 2023, Neubauer was nominated for the OHO Award, Slovenia's leading national prize for young visual artists. His second photobook, Where’s the Afters?, published by the National Museum of Contemporary History, was shortlisted for the Rencontres d’Arles Book Awards and, as of 2024, is also available at Printed Matter Inc., New York City. In 2025, he received second place in the Life category at the Sarajevo Photography Festival. He is also the co-editor of Henrik – Journal of Contemporary Photography.
Angeniet Berkers (1985) is a documentary photographer and educator based in Rotterdam. She holds a BA Degree in Social Work and Photography (KABK The Hague). She previously worked as a sociotherapist, counseling veterans and refugees with complex PTSD. Her background in mental health care is evident in her choice of subjects, approach, and working methods.
Her long-term projects explore the intersections of history, trauma, and family, revealing how personal and collective memories shape and influence our present. Through extensive research and a blend of visual languages, archival materials, text, and sound, she translates complex stories into an accessible and empathetic whole.
Her project Lebensborn was shortlisted for the Aperture Paris Photo First Book Award and the Historical Book Award at Luma Rencontres d'Arles. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Katalog Journal, de Volkskrant, and NRC.
Ieva Maslinskaitė (Vilnius, LT, 1999) is an interdisciplinary artist working with photography based in Amsterdam, NL. Her research interest lies in destabilising binary thinking towards the environment through co-creating with other species, as well as organic and artificial processes, resulting in temporary and mutating image-based works, objects, sculptures or installations. Coming from a photography background, her practice is centred around dismantling the medium from an anthropocentric perspective and putting it back together through an ecocentric one, counteracting contemporary image culture’s aims of being fixed, reproducible, and permanent. She has participated in a number of international group shows including the Riga Photography
Biennial NEXT – 2023. Maslinskaitė holds a Bachelor of Photography from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
Henri Kisielewski is a self-taught French-British photographer based in London. His work addresses the relationship between images to the real world – broadly speaking he makes photographs about photography.
Research-led and informed by his studies in human geography, Henri’s work explores themes of memory, photographic representation and the porous boundary between fact and fiction in documentary media.
Working primarily with medium format film and allowing room for chance, Henri’s practice is characterised by a documentary approach based on a conceptual framework.
Henri is currently working on a new ambitious and multi-faceted project in New York State: a collective portrait of Agloe, a fictional town that came to exist in the real world. Through a variety of visual strategies – photographs, archive images, video interviews – the work probes the ‘documentary’ image in a post-truth era.
Miriam Pružincová, also known as MIMI, is a Slovak photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist. She is currently studying for her master’s degree at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, in the Photography II studio led by Alena Kotzmannová.
In her practice, she works primarily with analogue photography and video, a documentary approach, and her personal archive. Since 2019, she has been systematically collecting fragments of everyday life, which she subsequently connects into carefully composed pairs, diptychs, and visual sequences, thus creating series or an endless, unnamed body of work that is simply about life as such. Through the deliberate connecting and assembling of photographs in installations, as well as the intentional completion of series through newly made images, she disrupts the boundary between chance and staging within documentary practice. She understands photography as a form of play and a tool for storytelling — a visual poem or narrative.
At first glance, her work may appear delicate, yet it carries irony, paradox, and intense intimacy. From environmental themes and stories of people searching for their identity, the artist gradually moves toward more personal subjects that address safe spaces and generational anxieties. Her practice also engages with memory, corporeality, mental health, trauma, the relationship to nature, and the natural presence of death in life. Her work has been exhibited, among others, in Prague, Munich, London, Berlin, Milan, Tokyo, and Slovakia.
Laura Van Severen is a photographer interested in landscape representation. She develops her artistic practice in the form of long-term projects that result from traversing, connecting, observing or interacting with a specific place. In doing so, she touches upon a variety of subjects, from global logistics and waste management to local rural realities or sound (hi)stories.
Laura studied Fine Arts and Photography at KASK School of Arts in Ghent, (Belgium) where she obtained her MA in 2015. that same year she was selected as one of ten talents by the FOMU Photography Museum in Antwerp. In 2016, she published the photobook Land (The Eriskay Connection), which was awarded Best Dutch Book Design. In 2021, she became part of Futures Photography after being nominated by the Triennial of Photographie Hamburg. In 2023, she received the Creación Injuve grant from the Spanish government and participated in an exchange residency between Hangar Barcelona and Kunstiftung Baden–Württemberg in Germany.
Under the title Listening–Gathering, she is currently creating a collection of stories in which sound impacts and materialises into concrete realities.
Laura lives in Barcelona (Spain) where she also works as a freelance photographer, teacher and studio manager.

Salvatore Vitale (b. 1986, Palermo, Italy) is a Swiss-based artist, director, and professor whose work explores the complexity of contemporary societies. Using expanded and speculative storytelling through mixed media techniques, he focuses on the politics of systems that regulate modernity and the impact of technological transformations.
Vitale is the Artistic Director of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival and FUTURES Photography, both international platforms dedicated to contemporary photography. He also serves as a Professor at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he leads the Transmedia Storytelling Programme. Previously, he was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of YET magazine, an international photography publication.
Vitale’s work has received international awards. It is featured in several public and private collections and has been widely exhibited in museums and at festivals worldwide.
Ángel Luis González Fernández is a designer, artist, and curator supporting engaging visual arts practices, winner of Business to Arts David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2011.
His work manifests through PhotoIreland, which he founded in 2010 to stimulate a critical dialogue on Photography. He devises curatorial projects placing conversations in the public realm around visual culture, critical thinking. These include events (PhotoIreland Festival, Halftone Print Fair, arts residency How to Flatten a Mountain, and New Irish Works), a cultural hub (The Library Project: Ireland’s Art bookshop, host to a unique resource library of photobooks and a productive arts programme), publishing projects that distribute inexpensive access to local practices, research projects (Critical Academy: examining contemporary art practices). He works collaboratively with a growing network of organisations, noticeably through ambitious Creative Europe partnerships.
During the Summer 2020 lockdown he launched the critical publication OVER Journal, now distributed globally. He received the Arts Council of Ireland’s Visual Arts Bursary to deepen research on the broad historical and specific artistic context of Photography in Ireland, to curate an ambitious survey exhibition in PhotoIreland Festival 2022 and to publish a series of publications on the matter. He regularly contributes to publications such as the forthcoming The Routledge Companion to Global Photographies, edited by Lucy Soutter, Duncan Wooldridge.
