Rebekka Deubner's work is full of narratives of metamorphosis, as close as possible to the earth and the bodies it carries. From the prefecture of Fukushima, where she made her first visit in 2014 and will return on several occasions, she has brought back indexical images, faces taken from encounters, seaweed and other living organisms she came across while wandering on the edge of the forbidden zone. Scattered into fragments by the catastrophe, they are traversed by the same palpable quivering, exuding signs of persistent vitality. The material of these bodies, the fluids that emanate from them and that they exchange, framed as closely as possible, are at the heart of the work entitled En surface, la peau, produced in the intimacy of the artist's love life. The act of photographing retains desire, counters its volatility, and ward off its loss. From this intimate exploration of the body and its profound movements, she moves on to the body as political territory, with Les saisons thermiques, an ensemble dedicated to male contraception. Here we find her way of slowly approaching the body and restoring its tender plasticity. In these bodies standing close to her, an alternative representation of masculinity is embodied. Framing and squeezing again with Strip, a work in progress made up of photograms and videos in which the artist attempts to become one with her late mother. Dressing her clothes and underwear, like counter-forms that still carry within them the latent trace of the body and epidermis that inhabited them, slipping into them and, in video performances, tying them up, patching them up and covering herself in them. Alongside these short films, Rebekka Deubner combines a collection of photograms of clothing, also fragmented, which, reassembled on the wall, sketch out the contours of a vast, warm body.Rebekka Deubner (1989), based in the Paris region, graduated in 2013 from the École de l'image Les Gobelins, Paris. In my work I focus on the theme of the culture of remembrance; I worked on projects about the place of mass shootings near Minsk by the Soviet authorities in the 30s and 40s, and about the liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster as a reclaimed material of the tragedy and the consequences of building a new nuclear power plant with Russian loans. I use digital and analogue photography, as well as collages and archive photos. In early drafts talked about personal transformation. I lived in Minsk, work as a journalist for a Belarusian portal Reform.by, had to leave Belarus in 2021 and currently live in Poland. Here I continue my journalistic work and at the same time shoot a project about forced migration, using my family, which was split up in 1939, as an example. My project deals with private and general questions: about the particular "homelessness" of people from traumatic periods of history and attempts to get rid of this feeling, about the sensitivity of entire nations as a result of political decisions, about the problems of self-identity, about the search for home.
It’s been seven years since I left Poland, my native country. The departure created the need to question my homeland. It swings constantly back in my mind and in my works. What I try to understand is why Poland resonates in me. Why do I constantly look for it abroad whereas all I wanted was to escape from it? Finally, how can I free myself from it? Answers never come; only more questions appear. Somewhere between past and present stories, speculations; an opportunity for me to wander through different identities.
My practice mixes photography, physical presence, text, installation and sound. Our My work in progress, Dom* [EN house, home], lies between performance and theatre play, not suiting plainly to either of them. It engages two performers and me, a setting that is being constructed during the show and numerous stories that come along with it. What I explore is the visual mean in which a story, a memory, or an image is transmitted throughout a performative act.

Erola Arcalís (Menorca, 1986) graduated from MA Photography at the Royal College of Art (2017) and is currently based in London. Recent exhibitions include: Rehearsing the Real, Peckham24, London, May 2019; Paisajes Esenciales, JustLX, Lisbon, May 2019; A Corner With Erola Arcalís, solo, A Corner With, London, May 2018.
Arcalís uses the lyricism of the black and white photograph to create fictional narratives that navigate between the stage and the encountered. Her practice combines abstract landscapes and sculptural still life to generate different voices. Arcalís’ images are inspired or make use of poetic text to construct fictions that revolve around myth, dream and personal experience. Central to her process is the materiality of the large format analogue print and the slowness of the 5x4 camera.
Younès Klouche is a photographer living and working in Paris and Lausanne. His personal projects pursue new solutions to re-define the documentary genre owing to a conceptual and reflexive approach. After graduating with honours from ECAL in Switzerland, Younès Klouche's commercial practice soon expanded to Paris; where he maintains strong connections with clients, producers and art directors. At the occasion of Art Basel 2022 & the Swiss Design Awards, he presents for the first time Panamera; the result of a three years long photography project in which he studies the urban transformations of the larger territory of Paris. The body of work is then exhibited at the Embassy of Switzerland in Seoul and published into a monographic book with French publishing house Poursuite.
Marie Hervé (b. 1996) is a visual artist and author, currently living between Turin and Marseille. Evolving between Southern France, Italy, Greece, the Maghreb and the Middle East, her work explores Mediterranean landscapes through notions of memory and ruin, the politics of conservation, and historical constructions. The use of the document, the limits of truth and falsity in photography, and the relationship with our personal archives are recurrent motifs in her work – from archaeological museum collections to images compulsively recorded on mobile phones. A co-founder of the collective and publishing house MYTO, Hervé’s work has been exhibited in a series of exhibitions throughout France.

Tamara Janes is an artist based in Bern. After studying photography at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and at the School of Visual Arts in New York (SVA), she completed a master's degree at the Institute of Art Gender Nature (IAGN) at the Basel University of Art and Design. She then returned to New York on a Studio Scholarship from the City of Bern to continue her research at the Public Library. Among others, her works have been shown at Kunsthaus Glarus, HeK Haus der elektronischen Künste Basel, Kunsthaus Pasquart, Kunsthaus Baselland, Kunsthaus Langenthal, Stadtgalerie Bern, on the occasion of Plat(t)form15 at Fotomuseum Winterthur and at the Bieler Fototage. Her projects have been supported and awarded several times. Tamara Janes received the Swiss Design Award 2023 in the category photography with her work “Copyright Swap”. Since 2019, she has been a lecturer at the photography class, F+F School of Art and Design, Zurich.
Artist Statement
In my work I deal with the conditions of digital images. I take a critical view of current photographic behaviour because our perception and our handling of images is increasingly determined by technology and algorithms. Mostly we unreflectively consume images every second and strive for more and more unrealistic sharpness and brilliance. This development is at the same time thought content and friction surface for my work. By shifting through and contextualizing my own and other people's visual material, I want to create new perspectives and visual commentaries.
Balázs Szigligeti is a Budapest-based photographer, who studied at The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. His work explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy. With a foundation in digital post-processing techniques, he establishes a kind of dreamworld; his artworks celebrate the human body, plasticity, queer culture, his hedonistic friends and life itself.

In 2015, she received her Bachelor's degree from the Department of Photography-Videography at the Art and Design College, West University of Timisoara and, in 2017, her Master's degree in Publicity Graphics. In December 2015, she had her first personal photography exhibition in Timisoara, followed in the next few years by several personal and group exhibitions. In 2016, Oana was selected for the Professional shortlist in the Staged category of the Sony World Photography Awards.
The work of Eline Benjaminsen (NO, 1992) studies the lacking visuality of socioeconomic processes and how this effects our ability to engage with them. She deals with the challenge of perceiving market processes through photographic follow-the-money narratives that combine prints, video and text in mixed media installations.
In 2017 she graduated from the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (Department of Photography) with the project Where the money is made - Surfaces of algorithmic capital about the infrastructure of algorithmic stock trading. The project was awarded the Steenbergen Stipendium (2017) and was nominated for the Zilveren Camera category Prijs voor Storytelling (2018) along multiple other nominations. She collaborates with a variety of platforms, from museums and galleries to the financial press.
The latest exhibits of her work include Stroom (NL), FOTODOK (NL), Lianzhou Foto Festival (CN), Heden (NL) and Krakow Photomonth (PL).
She has been working for German media outlets since 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Documentary Photography.
In her personal projects she focuses on taboo topics, feminism and relationships. She likes to combine different media and material such as video, photography, archive images, sound and objects. In 2018 she was chosen as one of the most promising newcomers in German photography, the year after she was nominated for the C/O Berlin Talent Award. Her work ‚IGNOSCENTIA’ has been shown in numerous exhibitions internationally and she regularly gives talks and speeches.

Gonçalo C. Silva (b. 1997) lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. He has studied at both the Faculty of Fine-Arts in Lisbon and at Atelier de Lisboa, and is currently pursuing an MA at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities from NOVA University of Lisbon. In his work, which applies an artistic approach to photography, Silva addresses themes related to the representation of the landscape, and to the relationship between humans and nature. In his projects, the interconnection of images from different contexts creates new meanings and narratives with a strong symbolic character, related to the artist’s personal experiences.
As an artist, João Ramilo aims to document human intervention in the world, capturing theinteraction between them. The essence of his work is to portray social and economic issues through images and immortalize those moments in time.Currently, he resides in Lisbon and works as a freelance photographer.
Riccardo Svelto (Florence, 1989) is currently based in Florence, where he works as a professor and freelance photographer. Svelto is graduated from the BA Photography at LABA (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti) in Florence (2015).
He has been the winner of the FOLIO International Online Photobook Masterclass (2020) by PhMuseum & Witty Books. In 2021, Witty Books published his first photobook entitled La Cattedrale. His work has been selected for Giovane Fotografia Italiana GFI 2022, exhibition in Fotografia Europea Festival 2022. At the same time, his work is featured in printed and online publications like Ignant, i-D, Booooooom, VOSTOK magazine and others.
His work is mainly focused on the relationship between empathy and social dynamics, trying to understand the emotional interaction and mind shapes we all face at the different ages and circumstances of life.
After having displayed her work for the first time at Plat(t)form 2015, held at the Fotomuseum in Winterthur (Switzerland), she was asked to display her work on the occasion of the Fotopub Festival in Novo Mesto (Slovenia) and at Circulation(s) in Paris. In 2015, she was shortlisted for the Francesco Fabbri Prize for her work Lay Out. Over the last year and a half, she has concentrated exclusively on her own personal research, focusing on the creation of new series and projects. Se has been selected for Fotografia Europea 2017. Since 2016 she has been represented by Viasaterna.
