Louiza Vradi is a visual artist working across diverse media such as photography, video, new media, textile, painting, and installation. Her artistic journey stems from academic studies in visual arts, new media, sculpture, and art education as she holds a Bachelor and MFA from Athens School of Fine Arts. Focusing on social documentary practices, she moves between reality and fiction. She explores themes like personal and collective memories, human movement, gender issues and intergenerational trauma.

Apart from her artistic pursuits, she has worked as an art educator and art therapist, offering support and healing to individuals facing mental and psycho-social challenges, as well as those combating addiction. Since 2020, she has been contributing as a stringer photojournalist for Reuters. She is a member of Women Photograph and was one of 30 under 30 best women photographers for 2020. In 2023, she completed Hostile Environment and First Aid Training (HEFAT) by Reuters. Her work has appeared in international publications such as the NYTimes, Le Monde, Vogue, the Guardian, Dazed, Monocle, Penguin Books, etc. Her artworks have been showcased in museums and galleries such as The Benaki Museum, Onassis Stegi, The Breeder gallery, etc. For 2024 she is one of the talents of FUTURES photography, selected by VOID. She was awarded the prize from the Greek Documentary Association with her first documentary film about the life and death of Anna Ivankova and she will attend the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival Agora and Pitching Forum. She lives and works in Athens, Greece.
